Sincere Invitation

Just felt like blogging about friendship, paying attention to the friendship we are sharing in LC now.

Somehow, I felt that the friendship in LC still has potential to be fragile. Maybe I am thinking too much, maybe I am thinking about the lost friendships I had, the friendships that I thought would be long-lasting.

And it usually starts from the usual reasons such as "i'm busy" and "sorry, i can't make it". If there is really a desire to spend time with each other, then I really feel that it's a very lame attempt of an excuse to say that you are not interested in the time together.

Of cos, there can be genuine reasons but rather than saying you cannot make it, how about trying to make an attempt at another time? Surely, if you really want to hang out, another day can be made alternatively. But instead, we let it pass.

And that's the way it is, in the beginning everyone will try to invite, but after awhile people just give up trying because they would be able to feel that their sincere invitation is not reciprocated by sincere apologies but instead they are being patronised.

That can be a very sad thing. If one by one, people start saying "I'm busy", sooner or later there would be no need to give excuses or reasons to anyone.

So if people really invite you genuinely, instead of saying you're not free, maybe we can try to put in a little more effort for each other. Do not for a moment think your presence is not important.

If it's really not important, we wouldn't had bothered to invite you in the very first place.
